Something I’ve been planning to do for a long time now, is to put together a short online course covering the basics of getting started with oil painting.
This is something I wish I’d had access to when I was starting out, so I figure other people might find it useful too.
I’m making pretty slow progress, but I have drafted a few lessons, and started to plan a few videos.

Lions have always fascinated me.
They look so peaceful most of the time, just lying around in the sun. You feel like you could just go up to them and stroke them like a cat.
I wouldn’t recommend it though, unless you are this guy.
I found the photo for this one on Paint my Photo and thought it would make a great painting subject.
My first attempt was not the best, so I scraped it off.
I’m learning to be less disappointed by these false starts as I know they are all part of the journey.
